  2. I'm afraid that I have never seen the point of "celebrating" the Blitz so much. The only outstanding feature seems to be the survival of St. Paul's Cathedral.

    Considering the immense effort we put into bombing Germany, and the hideous destruction we wrought there, it seems almost trivial.

     
  3. You are right Simon on both counts. But that was not a celebration but a rememberance of an important date in recent British history.
